The AJAC (Automotive Journalist Association of Canada) recently announced the winner of the Best Premium EV category in Canada. The winner for 2023 was the BMW i4. The voting was conducted after AJAC journalists from Canada tested all eligible vehicles in similar road and weather conditions. After this category victory, the i4 can now be named as 2023 Canadian COTY (car of the year). This award will be given out in February 2023.

What Does the i4 Offer?
The BMW i4 comes in three variants. These are the eDrive 40, eDrive 35 and the M50 xDrive. The base price is $54,990. Based on the variant and customization, the all-electric range delivered by the i4 varies between 365 and 484 km.
The i4 delivers the space and functionality of the gran coupé design along with the power of BMW's 5th-gen eDrive. This is also seen in another SAV (sports activity vehicle) by BMW - the iX. The i4 also features driving dynamics that are class-leading, along with comfort, an elegant design, and a cutting-edge interface.
It also comes equipped with driver-assist technology and advanced infotainment. All of this combines to deliver a zero-emission BMW that has been nicknamed the ultimate driving machine.
An integral part of the i4's development was sustainability. This included various aspects of production - from sourcing materials to end-stage delivery. Some of its components are also recyclable. Each step of the chain was looked at carefully in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint to the lowest possible level. The BMW i4 has been available at all Canadian BMW retailers since March of last year.
