Performance
Base models have a 3.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine that provides 375 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. The premium M Competition trim is powered by a 4.4-litre BMW M TwinPower Turbo V8 with a massive 553 lb-ft of torque and 617 horsepower. For better acceleration and response, it also features a 48V hybrid technology.
Interior Layout and Options
The latest redesign of the BMW X5 features a clean, contemporary interior design. The dashboard now incorporates two curved displays under an extended glass panel, reducing the number of physical HVAC controls. Drivers can instead utilise an infotainment system and voice commands. The X5 also offers generous cargo capacity, with the base model providing 959.9 litres of trunk space. Folding down the second row further expands the cargo area.
Exterior Layout and Options
A redesign on the X5’s exterior gives it a fresh new look with different options. The front features new silver vertical grille slats and an angular lower maw for six-cylinder models. The M60i trim has a lower bumper insert, black kidneys, dark shadow lines, and black mirror caps. This design is optional for other models except for the grill. Wheels on the base model are 19 inches with an option for 20, 21 and 22 inches.
Technology and Infotainment Features
The latest iDrive 8 Operating System keeps you entertained inside the X5. Running on a 14.9-inch infotainment system, you will enjoy your favourite podcasts and music thanks to the wireless compatibility of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is also a 12.3-inch instrument cluster display with important information about the car.
